Kentucky’s Community Action Agencies began accepting applications for the subsidy component of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) on November 3, 2025. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until December 12, 2025.

The LIHEAP subsidy component helps eligible households  with a one-time benefit for home hearing costs.  The benefit amount depends on the kind of housing, kind of fuel used for heating and  the household’s income.  Households must meet eligibility requirements, including income eligibility of up to and including 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

To apply, please visit your local Community Action Agency. To find your local office, call 800-456-3452 or visit www.capky.org/network
